The La Egeria sherry wine festival parade

PARIS PEOPLE

In France, even the routine is visually appealing

Parisians are known worldwide for their ability to enjoy life.

My new bride and I enjoyed the city on our recent honeymoon and, indeed, found its residents having fun.

Walkabouts in the city are always visually interesting, and on one occasion, we ran across a parade of humorously dressed people who were celebrating a wine festival. They, of course made fascinating photo subjects, but I was more interested in people doing everyday things in everyday ways.

All of these photos were made with a Nikon D1 digital camera, 17-35mm f2.8 and 80-200mm f2.8 lenses.

Strangers meet and enjoy a moment, under the influence of good sherry wine.
